Why am I leaving the “intertubes”?

If you followed my story for the last 2 years you know why.

Besides being a selfish husband, the collapse of my marriage was in-part caused by my unhealthy desire for attention – positive or negative.

I promised I was going to get off the internet over a year ago.

Yet I’ve been coming back, even if temporarily: ForeclosureHelpBook, EscapeMyHouse, MillionaireByChristmass and this latest blog TrueCasey.

I always have great intentions and rationalizations.

Yet the guilt I feel keeps me from making it last.

The foreclosure book too.

I’m still struggling with depression. Not enough motivation to get it finished.

Plus, whenever I think back to my IAFF days I still feel too much pain. I ruined the one relationship I cared for the most in this world. The feelings are still too raw for me to be writing that story.

I guess I haven’t really survived foreclosure, have I?

Besides, she did not want me to write that book. I want to respect that.

So I’m pulling the plug on everything.

Again.

Hopefully for good this time.

I plan to get my finances in order, as well as do the best I can to prepare myself and my loved ones for the financial, political and apocalyptic storms which are beginning to make landfall as we speak.

Preparation begins with pursuing a stronger relationship with My Maker… and letting Him direct my steps (to keep me from getting deceived or getting too extreme or relying on myself too much.)

Remember that those who persevere through this time and hold on to their faith will be kept on the right track by Our Lord and will receive an eternal reward in heaven. Don’t worry if you slip, keep your focus on the goal rather than the obstacles. He will take care of the rest. Keep up the good fight!

Even if she never gives me another chance I finally realized that this publicity is just not good for me. So I’m leaving the internet not just to keep my promises and out of respect for the people it affected but also for my own benefit as well. And if I ever come back online for a good purpose, it will be quite different. Not like this. No promises and don’t hold your breath. Taking it one step at a time, following His lead. Take care.

Don’t let me scare you too bad with all this doom-and-gloom. It’s very important to be aware of what’s happening but also not lose your head about it and give into fear. We know what will happen and it’s starting to happen but we also don’t know the exactly timing.

It may be 1 year or 10 years (or a 100).

We can also repent of our sins, make a stand for The Truth, expose the one(s) who are responsible (us included) and cause massive changes to happen at a grass roots level and/or spiritually… That will hopefully derail or least delay the Evil roadmap. Or if this is a punishment from above, we know some prophecy is conditional and could be changed. Happened before (Nineveh comes to mind.)

So we won’t be scared, we’ll trust God and do the best we can to inform others and prepare personally.

I seriously hope this is all a big joke and all my sources are wrong. I really wish everything will keep going “business as usual” in this world. But just in case it doesn’t, it’s good to be prepared. Better safe than sorry, as they say… right? (I’m listening to common sense! Yay!)

Having an awesome time connecting with and worshiping God at the Open Heavens conference at Bethel Church in Redding, California.

A church known for having a strong “spiritual anointing” and encouraging the practice of supernatural gifts of prophesy, healing, impartation, etc. They’re pretty cutting-edge in that realm. The senior pastor Bill Johnson wrote a couple of books on the subject.

Pretty crazy experience… coming from a conservative Baptist background, definitely a first for me.

The conference started last night. We’re going home Saturday morning. I’m here with an amazing group of young people from Capital Christian Church in Sacramento. I pre-paid for the conference a couple of months ago so the only extra cost was food and chip-in for hotel. Not too bad.

As you see from last couple of posts, I have a lot on my mind.

A great time to get away from my pressures and seek spiritual comfort and guidance.

I’m Podcasting…

I felt inspired last few of days to start recording and upload new podcast episodes in between our live Q and A talk shows.

I’m calling the whole thing “True Casey Serin Podcast” instead of plain “Show” because I like the term Podcast better. It has a cool “web 2.0″ sound to it.

I use my Olympus WS-300M digital voice recorder and upload them 100% raw without editing. The topic is just whatever is going on in my life that day, thoughts, ideas… “brain dump”. I try to keep them under 10 minutes (I try).

I come back from doing my survival research there is like 50 comments in moderation. I remember the IAFF days with constant comment moderation I used to do… even on my PDA sitting on the toilet. No joke.

I was so concerned about growing the community and keeping the comments flowing. I didn’t care about the quality of that community. Any traffic was good traffic to me. It was the first time I had any kind of an “audience”. It was pretty exciting even with all the negativity.

This time around I just don’t feel like moderatin’ and taking the time, the energy and the beating.

I just don’t fee like, as one commenter called it, “white-glove handling” of the negativity to find the positive nuggets. Even with my new policy of “positive/constructive comments only” I still have to see and touch all the critical/hater comment while moderating… which will still affect my spirit.

Just don’t feel like it.

Especially dealing with comments on that LAST post.

Speaking of that post…

OK, things may not ever get as bad as I (and other patriots) predict. But all my alternative media sources are pointing to a major economic downturn, a depression. Plus a war with Iran is very likely too. A flue pandemic is a possibility as well. It’s all part of the agenda. They’re getting ready for it. And you will never hear it on your nightly news, that’s fore sure!

A big financial or political crisis creates a perfect opportunity for the globalists/establishment/elites to keep offering us “solutions” to keep us safe and to bail us out.

You’ve heard the saying, “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”.

That was good ol’ Benjamin Franklin who said that.

The founding fathers were dealing with the threat of a central bank even back then! They all knew the dangers of one. They still remembered the oppressiveness of the Bank of England (which was actually a private bank belonging to the Rothchild family).

Well we allowed the private “banksters” to go ahead and pull the wool over our eyes and take over the country.

There where early attempts at an American central bank that didn’t last long. But then they finally pulled it off in 1913 through a secret meeting of the top political figures and the elite financiers of that time, guys like JP Morgan and Rockefeller.

The meeting took place on Jekyl Island off the coast of Georgia. The Federal Reserve was born. It was sold to us as a good thing “for our financial safety and stability”.

Bunch of crap that is!

There has been nothing but secrecy, manipulation, devaluation and INFLATION since then… especially after 1971 when the dollar was completely decoupled from gold.

I believe a 1913 dollar is worth 4 cents today! FOUR CENTS!!! Before the Fed came into existence we had a relatively stable level of prices for over a hundred years, because the currency was based on something other than thin air (aka the confidence in the government.)

The rate of inflation is accelerating. The fiat money system is on a path of self destruction. Exponential growth cannot be sustained.

Getting sidetracked.

What I was saying….

All this personal blogging and especially comments are are starting to take more of my emotional energy and time than the benefit I receive.

Maybe I should have no comments at all. You can email me your feedback or you can respond on your blogs. Hmmm…

Or maybe I should just stop personal blogging all together. There is so much going on in the world right now that I need to focus on preparing for those possibilities.

I really just want to focus on my own personal financial survival as the first thing. And I’m not sure I want to depend on doing anything on the internet anymore.

Besides my own flakiness/guilt I also have to deal with my online reputation which of course I helped bring about. I take primary responsibility. But I’m not the only one to blame.

A large part of my online reputation is the “scammer” image thanks to the haters/critics for slanted and sarcastic coverage, blogs, wikis and comments.

Then me talking about all this conspiracy / truther stuff… it’s only going to continue hurting my image. People will mis-understand and think of me as a lunatic. I want to reach out and share the truth but it seems to be falling on deaf ears or just making me look like an idiot. Perhaps I should keep it to myself and share it with only those who are ready to unplug from the matrix.

I may really just want to shut my mouth and keep it shut and continue staying offline. Especially since who know somebody may still be investigating me or the New World Order may take notice. This type of open blogging will only attract more attention and make me into a bigger target.

Yet, I keep coming back!

You’ve seen me attempt to blog since then: ForeclosureHelpBook, EscapeMyHouse, MillionaireByChristmas.

It has always been temporary and short lived. I keep coming back online but can’t seem to stay blogging for very long without feeling guilty or overwhelmed (often both).

It’s even hard to keep working on my Foreclosure book.

I was looking through the old IAFF posts to incorporate them into the story and there are so many memories, many of them still painful. I left a big piece of my heart with somebody and every time I look at anything that reminds me of that person it gets hard to handle.

Part of me still thinks there may be some hope and I’m probably screwing up any chances by still being online. It was clearly a BIG issues for us in the past. Enough on that. Don’t want to get too personal.

Thinking out loud.

And laying my thoughts out to the world.

Maybe that’s the problem. Maybe I should take my voice off the net. It doesn’t seem to be good for me (after everything has been factored in).

My mood towards blogging has been like a stock market. Up and down and very volatile. Overall you can see I’m definitely in a bear trend now.

Just like the economy of The Late Great U.S. of A. With the current course of action depression, or worse, is coming.

I gotta survive.

Financially. Physically. Emotionally.

Then help others.

Both parties are really just two sides of the same coin. Controlled by the globalists, the elite, the financiers of this world. Same guys who own the Federal Reserve and have US goverment in their pocket.

They are moving towards the devaluation of the dollar, destroying America as we know it, setting up a dictatorship and moving towards One World Government.

Then after that (or at the same time) it’s population reduction. Yes killing “inferior” people through subtle and not so subtle ways (vaccines, manufactured deceases like the Avian Flue and AIDS, stripping our food of nutrients, fluoride and chlorine in the water, the list goes on…

Fighting a never-ending “war on terror” which started with 9/11 is a great excuse to move a lot of the programs forward. All the presidential directives that have been signed in the last 7 years have turned the presidential office into a dictatorship.

It’s all ready to go with a flip of a switch. Martial law and everything. All they would need to do is stage another “attack” on American soil like a dirty bomb or a biological bomb or a pandemic (Avian Flue or the like). They can also do it with some national emergency like a financial collapse, food shortages, or whatever.

This is typical Problem-Reaction-Solution script that all dictators have used to come to power. We’re living in the last couple of years (or months) of a great democracy which has gone bankrupt. The great super power is on the brink of collapse. Everything is accelerating and most of the pieces are in in place.

This is what living in Pre-Nazi Germany would have been like.

The establishment seems to have chosen Obama as their next appointed puppet to move the agenda forward. I would NOT vote for either one. ESPECIALLY not for Obama!

I wanted to finish the iSurvivedForeclosure book this week but I’m feeling overwhelmed. I think the problem is because 1) I’m trying to bite off more than I can chew again and 2) I’m expecting it to be perfect before releasing it.

I pretty much wasted the whole day yesterday doing “work-avoidance work”. You know, doing things that are good to do but not things I should do, like making $ so I can survive.

I’m on my second week of the Sink or Swim month and I’m starting to feel the pressure. It was especially evident when I open the fridge and there is no food left except for green “super food” powders.

Thoughts of escape filled my mind which varied from a wish to hire a writer (which I don’t have capital for) to extreme thoughts like quitting the whole thing, shutting down the blog and fleeing to the mountains to live off the grid. Good thing I had some 2 buck chuck left to help me relax a bit.

But wine can only do so much, so I turned to God, the ultimate source of strength. I read a great passage in the bible (Psalm 27) and prayed for guidance. I also did some other reading for motivation like Richard Branson’s “Screw It, Lets Do It” and went to bed early.

This morning I was an early riser and even went to the gym for the first time since the Master Cleanse. Feeling motivated, I considered all the various half-finished drafts and fragments of text to figure out where to begin with finishing the book.

Then an idea hit me…

What if I take all the fragments and slap it all together into a “rough draft” and actually start selling it!?

Like tomorrow!!

A short deadline and a promise of immediate reward will force me to actually get it done. Oct 15th being the tax extension deadline is a nice date too. I like nice dates.

Haterz say there is no money in selling ebooks? I say there are a lot of hurting people out there that need help and quality information and will to pay for it, even a “rough draft” version. I’m excited to finally start helping these struggling homeowners!

Soooo….

I’m actually very pleasantly surprised how accurate Nigel’s assessment is. So I decided to quote the entire thing. It provides lots of great insight on my story from the original “supporterz-possible-partnerz-turned-haterz-back-to-supporterz-to-kicking-me-to-the-curb-to-itsallgood”.

Nigel speaks:

It’s been a week since I literally kicked Casey Serin to the curb. That’s a fantasy many long-time haterz have had for some time. Believe it or not, I didn’t feel good doing it and I felt even worse the next day.

I’m writing this final post on Don’t Hate Casey for people who stumble across the site through Google and for his core group of haterz alike.

First of all, the truth Casey Serin has presented to all of us has been a lie, both of a distorted outlook and of omission. Based on details I’ve been able to piece together I want to offer you a unique perspective of Casey Serin nobody has been able to offer to date.

Let’s put a little background on this first. Casey is famously known as the world’s most hated blogger. This is an image he has allowed to be cultivated because of his personality. Personality is something Casey speaks of often and he’s particularly fond of the Myers-Briggs testing protocol.

Personality

Last year, I was introduced to a personality typing system that is brilliant in its simplicity to identify personalities for the sake of sales. I’ve found it to be very effective in all sorts of inter-personal relationships.

This system begins with the premise that except for anger, people fall into four basic personality types. Each person has some aspect of these personalities within them and the types are pretty evenly split around this country. Two dominant personalities will determine how each person is categorized, though everyone has traits of each personality. Every personality has an animal attributed to it and the classification system developed by Dr. Charles Clarke is simply called Bulls, Owls, Lambs and Tigers or BOLT.

Here’s the definition of the Tiger:

Not into details – prefers others to take care of the details
Fast to decide and is “messy messy”
Fast-paced and is often late for appointments
Loves recognition – emotional, likes excitement
Prestige and status are more important than security
Likes a challenge
Social relationships are important
Social first, then business

Sounds like our Casey, right? Believe it or not, this is Casey’s secondary personality. His first one is the Bull.

Likes the bottom line – “Get to the point” (not A to Z, just Z)
Fast to decide
Fast-paced
Neat type of messy
Results-oriented
Needs to control a situation
Prestige and status are more important than security
Likes challenges
Likes freedom from control
Business first, then social

Bulls are very stubborn and once they decide on something, they tend to stick to it. I should know, I am one. When I was first introduced to this concept, I immediately assumed Casey was a Tiger. During his last trip out, I concluded he’s really a Bull first, Tiger second. Those two in combination can be very dangerous unless the Tiger gets reined in. Casey and I have had that conversation.

Casey’s haterz I would say are going to almost all have an Owl personality as their primary or secondary trait. Owls are details guys and gals.

Likes detail and full presentation from A to Z
Takes time to decide and is slow-paced
Very time conscious and early for appointments
No mistakes (yours or theirs)
Does not like over excitement and emotionalism
Security more important than prestige and status
Likes order and is more “neat neat”
Likes being alone, solitude
Business first, then social

These are the people calling for legalism when it comes to Casey’s past deals. “He lied on his loans and lost, therefore he should go to jail.” These are people who rarely take risks and will only venture forward if they are convinced they have a successful endeavor. Based on Dr. Clarke’s test, I am equally a Bull/Owl with Tiger being my third and Lamb coming a distant fourth. That’s why I kicked Casey out because he didn’t return my car remotely close to when he said he would. Further, I was very worried about the expired tags causing confiscation if exposed more than anything else.

Once I learned this personality system, the world began to make sense to me. I am attracted to Tigers because they’re fun and spontaneous, something that my life typically lacks. Lambs dislike me because I’m business before social. Because of this system, I can now easily tune into what people want because of their dominant animal. With this as background, let’s move on.

Relationship with the Audience

Casey will never win over his haterz online. Because of the personality differences, Casey will always present a position of status, while his haterz will call him on the details. Tigers don’t read, so they won’t stick to the story and Lambs get turned off by the negativity. In person, Casey is a much different person. He’s cultivated his online persona to attract attention, even if it’s negative. I saw this in person as Casey met one person who wrote a most vile parodied scenario about him and the other one didn’t even want to meet the guy. Over the course of a few hours, attitudes were changed and friendships were formed.

Gray Areas of Truth

Casey has two major problem areas in my opinion. The first is his presentation of “truth.” As an online audience, we are not getting the full story. Sometimes reality is boring. Based on information I’ve uncovered, Casey is misleading us on several key elements.

1. He worked his butt off to try and save the homes he was foreclosed on. I don’t think he ever accurately conveyed this effort. Ultimately, the declining market was too strong and he was too inflexible to succeed.

2. He is working behind the scenes. We’d like to think he gets up at 3 pm and fiddles around until bed time. Casey is a very social animal and answers phone calls and emails very regularly. He’s got other real money making ventures behind the scenes he doesn’t want us to know about. I believe it’s because he doesn’t want them jeopardized and because secretly he wants to prove the haterz wrong and become successful. I’ve witnessed his hard work in person. He’s very good at organization, but lacks commitment over the long haul for things he doesn’t really want to do.

3. His family supports him. The interesting thing about the BOLT philosophy is one can see the source of the personality. Casey’s mother is much like him and has urged him to dream big. His father is the Owl, but still supports his son. They know everything that’s going on and will always be his rock. Casey is no conman. He may evaluate risk poorly, but he and his supporters know that element exists on any proposition they’re presented.

Personality Conflict

Casey’s greatest challenge lies in the conflict between his Bull and Tiger. This results in a lack of focus and and lack of commitment, two key components of being a successful business person. He needs to control his Tiger. If you’re following me along this far, I think you’ll agree.

Reality Distortion of Failure

When someone fails at life, their reaction determines the future. Some people cope by burying their head in the sand. Others evaluate and regroup. Others never recover. We have to bear in mind that Casey suffered failures of epic proportions. The fact he can talk about it in public is a testament to his character regardless of certain statements being embellished. Casey lost five homes to foreclosure. He lost his wife. He lost his reputation. He could be facing prosecution.

Some question my attraction to his story and call me opportunistic or a bottom feeder. At the heart of my attraction is the fact I’ve been in similar circumstances. I’ve had several major failures in my life so far and deep down I wanted to use my experience to help Casey. That was my initial goal.

I’ve been fortunate in the ability to regroup and move forward. Each failure for me has resulted in greater future successes. I’m living one right now and I’m very grateful to those who have made it possible.

Leave Casey Alone!

Whether you’ve stumbled upon this site doing a search for Casey Serin or are one of his die hard haterz, I think it’s time to leave him alone. Ultimately, Casey’s problems are Casey’s problems. Some people have felt it necessary to impose their values and experiences upon him and it’s clear Casey won’t change his mind. He wants to fail forward on his own. I suggest we let him.

Some die hard haterz may consider this call to inaction a boycott and to a certain extent it is. I’ve resisted the urge to comment on his new blog because I feel he just won’t listen. That didn’t prevent me from flying him out to Salt Lake to speak to him in person and try and influence him in real life. Ultimately, it failed. In my estimation, only 25% success was achieved.

I think we should let him continue uninterrupted until the inevitable happens. Either he’ll succeed or fail. If failure can be blamed on outside interference, he’ll continue additional plans until he can no longer move forward. Haterz are his scapegoat. Remove this crutch and perhaps he’ll recover sooner. If he’s successful, the problem is also solved. Win-Win in Caseyspeak.

Epilogue

This is my last blog post. I want it to stand as an Internet marker of a fair portrait of Casey Serin. As one of the “central characters” of the Casey Serin story, I hope this post has brought some additional understanding to who Casey Serin is. Few people outside of his family got to see him in real life. I do recognize my perspective is one dimensional as I never met his ex-wife or family. Others like Duane and Mark may have a fuller view because of their interaction with Casey and his family.

Casey’s story was compelling to me as I thought he had potential. I thought he had a chance to get out of the mess he was in. Ultimately we were all wrong as we thought we were dealing with a little dip in real estate, not a catastrophic decline. As the housing mess unfolded, it became clearer exactly how screwed up the entire real estate and lending industry was. An inexperienced, solitary player like Casey Serin never had a chance. Anyone without real estate experience was doomed as the millions of current foreclosures show.

For long time followers of this blog, you’ll notice all previous posts, save for one is gone. With my new understanding of Casey, I didn’t feel it was right to leave up my former criticism. Casey is what he is and brings some good to this world, even if it is entertainment at his expense. He is a Bull/Tiger. Knowing that I have a frame of reference to deal with him…even if I have recently failed.

At the end of the day, we can’t blame Casey Serin. He was enticed by real estate seminar gurus advertising on late night television and enabled by lenders willing to loan hundreds of thousands of dollars to consumers with a mid-level credit scores desiring to cash in on one of the biggest real estate booms in American history. You can’t really blame Casey Serin for this. He didn’t invent the stated income “liar” loan. He didn’t market half-truths on late night TV. He’s not even the one being bailed out by tax payer money for $700,000,000,000. Let’s not interfere in his life any longer. Whether he knows what he’s doing or not is no longer our concern. Please, leave Casey Serin alone.

That was a good post. Thanks Nigel for contributing this valuable and accurate perspective. Though I wouldn’t blame the “late-night” gurus too much. Sure they helped get me started and maybe caused me to get overly excited about how easy it will be… but I believe I screwed up some of their advice and made a bunch of rash decisions/mistakes on my own. They did make a pretty penny or two off me with over $30K in seminar/educational fees, but again, it’s my own fault for not finding cheaper ways to learn. So itsallgood. Thanks again.

Ok, back to work….

After much thinking I finalized the domain/brand, now it’s time to run with it! Designing graphics, editing the free “mini-guide”, working on full version, thinking of putting putting up a blog, then a membership area, etc, etc, etc…)

My immediate survival depends on it!

Also having a clear focus and mission will attract solutions, people and resources into my life to help me accomplish it. Some call it “The Secret” aka Law of Attraction or Positive Thinking.

I like to call it “prayer”.

Either way, it’s a universal concept and Our Maker has given us the power to create our environment with our thoughts. That’s why we should give Him honor for accomplishment of our goals/dreams and for placing those dreams on our hearts to begin with.

The more focused the thoughts the faster it will happen. Bring on the focus!

Header Created… Using Media Logos?

Yesterday I put together a nice header and footer for MyForeclosureStory.com. Even though my design skills are a bit rusty I think the graphics turned out pretty nice:

Thanks to BelowTheCrowd, Dolph and others for pointing that I’m misleading with the use of all those media logos – as if they endorsed my product. You also said and using those logos without permission can get me into trouble. I’m taking that constructive criticism to heart and trying to figure out how to convey the message in a different way.

My message is that my foreclosure story from before has been covered by all these media places. I believe that adds credibility and “social proof” and will help me sell better. Making more sales means helping more people and that’s my mission.

I have seen many other websites/companies use media logos prominently on their home page, take Enthem.com for example. So I’m going to experiment with it a little to see if I can convey the correct message without getting into “gray area” or misleading anybody.

Testing Brands with Google Adwords

Before I get too far along the process, I’m still thinking about MyForeclosureStory.com vs ISurvivedForeclosure.com. Out of all the different domains I registered I think these two carry the best combination of “punch”, simplicity and positioning.

I asked a few of you about your opinion on this. I got pros and cons on both sides. I’m still torn and it’s actually affecting my performance. Settling a brand is a pretty important detail to take care of early on.

So why don’t I just let the market decide?

I’m going to run a test today using Google Adwords, with my free $50 voucher (from my host 1and1). The ad will be the same but the domain different and the branding on the landing page will change depending on the domain they clicked on.

The domain which gives me the best click-through AND conversion will be the winner!

As a Rationalist (ENTP) I tend to get into analysis-paralysis mode way too often. I have all these theories and ideas but no way to know what will work for SURE unless I do a market test and see what REALLY works.

I should start testing everything from now on and test it early so I don’t waste time and effort. Learning as I go, so it’s all good!

As part of my mission to seek and share the truth I’m putting together a collection of the highest quality “truther” videos, audios and links on various topics.

So I started the Truth page.

Right now I just have videos on 9/11 truth and a couple of videos on money/taxes/government corruption. These are the same videos from my birthday post.

I highly recommend watching these with an open mind. It will help you understand what’s REALLY going on in the world today and shed light on the current economic crisis as well as the geo-political tension we’re experiencing.

There are also some links to my favorite radio shows like Alex Jones and other great stuff on GCN. Here is a link to the free podcasts so you can download and listen.

I plan to continue expanding this truth section and will be a adding more videos, audio and links on various topics such as faith and religion, natural health, alternative medicine, personal development, as well as more on personal liberties, debt, money, corruption, government tyranny, war, New World Order, etc.

That’s what TRUE Casey is all about.

Now, back to work on generating some true income so I can survive and have more time for truth sharing and preparation for the great storm ahead.

Give Me Feedback on Title, Branding and Strategy

You have watched me shape and mold this foreclosure book brand over the months and I think it’s finally starting to come together. Nothing is set in stone, I’m still experimenting.

As you can see I decided incorporate 7 Foreclosure Mistakes into My Foreclosure Story which is going to be my full ebook that I will be selling.

The idea is to give away 7 Free chapters as a sample and encourage people to buy the full book. I think it will be simpler than having 2 ebooks, a free one then upsell the paid one.

But I’m not sure if that’s the best strategy.

Maybe having two separate products is a good idea. I really like the sound of 7 Foreclosure Mistakes. It’s a nice title and can stand on it’s own.

My Foreclosure Story is a nice a title for the paid book but I’m also considering I Survived Foreclosure which would be a nice play on I am Facing Foreclosure from before.

You also remember my old brands: Escape My House and Escape My Mortgage. I decided not to use them for now because I think the word “escape” may have a negative / illegal connotation and I think I should stick with the word “Foreclosure” since that’s what people know me for and it’s a good keyword for SEO.

I’m back in Sacramento and about to check into a hotel for a month. Increasing my pace to make up for lost time. Foreclosure mistakes ebook launch to come shortly. It will be my first info-product business. Exciting stuff!!

I’m cutting it very close. My startup capital is running VERY thin. The next 30 days will be sink-or-swim time. If I don’t get some kind of income going in this time-frame, I will have to move into my car.

Living life on the edge is fun and all but it would be nice to get a little bit of stability and income right about now. I pray and believe good things are coming!

Sink-or-Swim Update:

Just finalized my check in. To pre-pay for a month of hotel I scraped up room on 3 different credit cards and a some cash. I only have one card left with $1,000 on it, $300 in my PayPal account (thx Nigel) and $100 cash in my pocket. I better make it last and I don’t want to sell any more assets.

It’s no secret that I’ve been financing the startup-up of my new Foreclosure Help business on credit. That includes living expenses. (This CEO doesn’t work for free, you know?) The total new credit card debt is at $65,000 right now.

Because of going through crazy financial hardship last couple of years and a divorce earlier this year I’ve been dealing with depression, lack of motivation and lack-of-focus (well, more than usual). So it’s taking me almost a year to get this business off the ground!

Yes, I put myself in a bind again, perhaps subcontiously. I perform well under pressure, but it’s not the ideal way to live. But what’s done is done and I’m here.

I decided firmly that I am NOT moving back home with my parents, even though they’re very loving and always willing to help. I realized living at home with them has become a crutch.

And I prefer to avoid taking a regular 9-5 job unless I absolutely have to. (I may try monetizing this blog or do web consulting jobs if I must).

However, my best shot right now is to parlay my foreclosure experience from the last 2 years into a profitable Foreclosure Help business through selling ebooks/info-products, referring services, etc. It fits into my goal of building passive income and I’m passionate about helping people.

So letsdoit! Sink or swim!!

I’m going to try not to get vindictive, just plainly explain what happened and move on.

I borrow one of Nigel’s 4 cars today to run an errand. I say I’ll be back shortly. The errand took longer than I thought. WeWantTheFunk calls me about going to sushi. I decide to do that and call Nigel to see if he wants to join us.

There was no answer so I left a message.

WeWantTheFunk and I have a great time at Ichiban, according to him, “the best Sushi in Salt Lake City”, (I believe it). I enjoy some awesome veggie rolls, a seaweed salad and miso soup.

Then I say good bye to WWTF and stop by Salt Lake City Roasting Co. around the corner to jump on their free Wifi. (That place has a pretty cool atmosphere, I recommend it).

Nigel’s girlfriend calls and ask me where I’m at.

It’s strange to receive a call from her because we haven’t really talked much. I tell her what I’m doing and that I can come home right away if needed. She is pretty pissed off and says she will call the police and report the car stolen if I don’t show up there in exactly 30 minutes or less. She hangs up.

I call Nigel and ask him what’s going on.

He yells at me, belittles me, curses at me and also tells me to be at the house immediately (yes, including the part about calling the police!).

I tell him I got carried away and lost track of time and asked him why he didn’t return my call earlier. My phone was with me the whole time and I was twittering my location throughout the evening.

He tells me he is mad because the SUV I borrowed has the washer and some other things they wanted to unload tonight and that I didn’t finish my cleaning. He hung up abruptly.

So I come to the house right away and see my stuff thrown outside (picture above). At least they sort of put it inside plastic bags.

I knock on the side glass door seeing Nigel is inside. He looks at me and ignores me. So I go around and begin packing my stuff correctly so I can zip up the luggage. He comes outside and takes the keys to the SUV.

He says, “Let’s go, NOW”. I say I need to pack the stuff first because, it’s all scattered. So he says, “You’re on your own then”.

That’s right, he turns around and walks into the house, I ask him, “How am I supposed to get home?”

He says, “You have your corporate credit”.

It’s about 11pm. I’m stranded outside. Craziness.

So I finish packing and call WWTF to see if he can give me a ride. No response. No big deal, probably sleeping. I call 411 for the taxi and wait on the street for about 30 minutes.

While I’m waiting in the street, Nigel is staring at me from inside the house and is taking multiple pictures. He keeps staring for a while and talking on the phone to somebody.

The taxi comes and I tell the driver to take me to a hotel. He starts looking up directions in his GPS and Nigel comes outside and takes more pictures of me inside the taxi cab. I tell the driver to start driving.

The driver asks me why some guy is taking pictures of us. I basically tell him it’s a long story (didn’t want to get into it).

I check into the hotel tonight and decide to go ahead and get all this off my chest so I can sleep and move forward.

Nigel’s true colors showed tonight.

Yes, perhaps I should have communicated better about me taking extra time with the car. I can get flaky sometimes. But this is NO WAY to treat a person!!

A little bit more background…

From my Tweets you probably know I was already planning to leave earlier than expected… The entire situation turned out way different than I thought.

I was promised a free place to stay with internet connection and focused time to work on my business.

In exchange Nigel just wanted me to “help him move”. Well, I assumed that means a day or two, helping load the truck, help carry stuff, the usual.

It really turned out to be a 4-5 day thing where I was expected to not only help move but also clean stuff, organize stuff, build furniture and basically be a slave monkey for whatever Nigel wanted me to do.

I didn’t blame him and took it in stride.

Perhaps we had some difference of exceptions. I didn’t mind the extra work in order to earn my free stay.

However, I also didn’t want to work all day long either.

I worked hard first 2-3 days but yesterday (Tuesday) I got overwhelmed and didn’t do very much in the morning. Instead I did some brainstorming and worked some on the ebook. When he came home he got upset that while he is at his 9-5 job I’m “slacking off”.

Well, I told him that I needed to take some time off and expressed my frustration over how this ended up being much more than I signed up for.

I told him I’m trying to launch a new product and that I was thinking of leaving because the whole situation is not going as planned: 1) way more work, 2) overly high expectations, 3) no internet at the house, 4) his critical and condescending attitude toward me, like a parent to a child, 5) and a girlfriend that didn’t like me from the start (no big deal, and nothing again her, just adds to the tension)

Instead of hearing me out and seeing how we can resolve the issues, he was ready to put me on a bus (yes, a bus!) right there and then and send me home on a 12 hour ride!

I also told him not to worry about the $300 he promised to reimburse me for the hotel the first week (since his house wasn’t ready like he said it would be). I let him off the hook for that money as a gesture of good will since I disappointed him with my performance and since he “wasn’t getting his money’s worth”.

Still I didn’t want to give up, so later yesterday (Tuesday) I asked him to give me another chance. I worked hard and got bunch of stuff done. I also worked hard today before taking the car.

Anyway…

The whole thing just didn’t turn out like we thought. That’s OK. We both knew this was an experiment. I could have worked harder and been more reliable.

However, I don’t deserve to be treated like this!!

I was promised a free trip, minus my food expenses. I took time off my business and worked for Nigel for 5 days. Now, I’m going to end up paying for the entire trip (except for the initial flight). AND he got the pleasure of humiliating me!

Nigel got a sweet deal!

Oh well.

At least I know what kind of a person Nigel truly is. I always considered him my friend, even though he has been a hater on and off.

Nigel knows I did not intentionally hurt him in any way. He knows I’m sorry for my part. What he did is NOT right. That’s ok, God will help me to forgive him and I’ll just move on and use this whole experience as a lesson.

So, it’s all good.

UPDATE

After some thinking I decided to remove Nigel’s last name from this post. Don’t want to be guilty of smearing his name or hurting his online reputation (not that it’s great or anything, but still). If you follow this blog you know who he is. I just wanted to present my side of the story, however, the personal drama does NOT need to be picked up by Google if somebody searches for his full name. I don’t want to be vindicactive.

Checked out of the hotel yesterday morning.

Since I finished the foreclosure mistakes ebook (more or less, and still need to upload it) I’m ending the Master Cleanse fast. After counting up the empty water jugs I realized I’ve been drinking close to a gallon per day in the last 14 days. Pretty cool!

Breaking the fast at Jumba Juice, one of my favorite places. A wheatgrass shot of course, with a large cup of orange-carrot juice. Bummer they didn’t have any oranges so only the carrots where freshly squeezed.

Breaking a long fast has to be done very carefully. I’m gradually going from juices, to smoothies and soups, then to soft fruits and salads, and eventually back to solid food… will take a few days.

This weekend I’m helping Nigel move into his new place. I had a surprising amount of energy for not having any solid food for two weeks. In fact, I felt great, especially after getting some potent juices. I had NO problem lifting heavy stuff and working non-stop for hours.

In exchange for helping Nigel move he is letting me stay with him for as long as I need. That’s very nice of him. This is a great time for me to focus on launching my foreclosure help business. Plus Nigel understands internet marketing and real estate so he can help me with my new venture.

But I don’t want to stay too long and wear out my welcome. I also want to make it to the investor BBQ at GoldSpring on October 11th in Virginia City, NV. So I’m not sure how long I will be here, we’ll see. Sometimes I like to take life one day at a time.

Last night I slept in the basement in the new place. We stayed up almost the whole night talking so there was not much sleeping. It was also cold and uncomfortable sleeping on the floor. But it’s a free and I’m easy going. So it’s all good.

Tavington, a self-proclaimed troll-master and long time follower of the story sent me an email about tips on the Master Cleanse I’ve been doing for the last 14 days. Since he left a comment about it on the previous post I figure I should respond publicly so we can all learn from the experience.

Hi Casey,

I’ve always wanted to do a ‘fast’ and ‘detox’ so I read up today on the master cleanse.

I bought:

-a bunch of lemons
-sea salt
-maple syrup (from the organic section)
-cayenne pepper

One thing I refuse to do is pay for distilled water, and just going for straight tap water. What are the pros and cons? Will my master cleanse be for naught in that circumstance?

Anyway, I’ll let you know how it it goes. 8 hours in, and no hunger pangs yet.

Don’t drink tap water!

I would STRONGLY suggest going with SPRING water. Distilled is OK and I DID use it a little bit but I don’t like the taste and it lacks a lot of the natural minerals.

Tap water is full of all sorts of chemicals including chlorine and fluoride. You’re trying to CLEANSE the body, not continue putting crap in it. Plus in the absence of food your body will be more sensitive to any bad chemicals.

Stay away from food, drink the lemonade whenever hungry…

Overall, one of the biggest thing I would recommend is to stay away from food or even the smell of food. Try not to be in social situation where there is food. Yes I know you may be a loner for a few days but it’s Ok. If you do that, its not all that hard.

The lemonade drink keeps you pretty satisfied. Just drink it anytime you feel hungry. I like to drink mine hot. It makes it more soothing for me, kind of like hot apple err.. lemon cider.

Don’t be afraid of drinking too much of it. I was feeling sluggish at first because I wasn’t drinking enough. The goal is not to starve yourself but to give your body a break from solid food.

Cayenne pepper…

Start with a small amount. If you’re not used to spicy food your system may get shocked by too much of it. Work your way up until you feel comfortable. You should always feel a little bit of a burn but not too much. I like the burn because it gives it that extra “kick”. Cayenne is very good for you: increases circulation, anti-bacterial properties and more. Just don’t over do it.

Sea salt…

Make sure you buy the more expensive, higher quality stuff. Quality sea salt has a bunch of good things in there besides salt, trace minerals, etc. I don’t trust the cheap stuff because I suspect they’re just slapping that label on there and using the standard proceeded crap we call “salt” that is actually not good for you.

Do those flushes first thing in the morning and be sure to drink the entire pint of water (4 cups) with 2 tea spoons of salt. It’s actually not that much salt and real sea salt doesn’t taste all that bad. Sometimes I even enjoy the taste of it. It’s not as strong as sea water.

Be careful!

About 15 to 30 minutes after drinking the salt water you may experience an urge to fart.

IT’S NOT A FART!!

I made that mistake… Good thing I only had to throw away my underwear. My pants didn’t get too stained.

Go straight to the bathroom and prepare for a new kind of sensation – water coming out of your butt together with solid material. Kind of like peeing out of your butt. (Sorry to get graphic, just want to prepare you.)

Stay close to the bathroom. You will probably have 2 to 5 different “runs”. Once you’re done with the last run you’ll be ok the rest of the day.

Don’t skip the flush! That’s the best part…

As you keep doing this every morning you’ll see less and less solid chunks but you may also see stuff that looks unusual – texture, color, shape, etc. That’s ok. The body is getting rid of crap that it never had a chance to get rid of when you’re constantly running food through the digestive system.

I’m still seeing things coming out on the 14th day. That means it’s working and I’m still getting rid of stuff that shouldn’t be there. Your intestines have been encrusted with solid matter over the years and the salt water is going to start softening it and small chunks of it start chipping away.

As you detox your body is dumping junk into your digestive tract and the salt water flushes the crap outside your body. If you skip the flush, the toxins will get re-absorbed into the bloodstream and it not only defeats the purpose but can actually make you feel sick.

Buy some herbal laxative tea to help with smooth movement. In the absence of solid material, your intestines don’t work as hard because there is nothing to move. Senna-based herbal laxative promotes this movement. However, keep in mind that too much of that tea can give you cramps.

I personally only drink the tea occasionally, couple of times a week.

Mint tea…

The only other tea that the book recommend is mint tea.

It has beneficial properties for the digestive system and is very soothing and calming. Don’t drink any other kind of liquid or tea.

Lemons…

I’m glad you’re going organic. Its more money but you’re only doing this for 10 days and you should give your body the best possible nutrition without added pesticides and chemicals that you will find in the conventional ones.

Do the best you can, sometimes you can’t find organic ones. Feel free to experiment with limes as well. It could add a little variety.

Be sure to use a strainer!

The reason the cleansing fast works the way it works is that you’re giving your digestive system a break from solid food. Digestion normally takes a lot of energy. Without digestion your body has a chance to use the extra energy to do some house cleaning and remove toxins as well as strengthen itself.

So you don’t want lemon pulp to be in your juice, because it’s solid material and will interfere with the cleanse.

The maple syrup…

If you’re not trying to lose weight, feel free to add more syrup to the mix. The original Master Cleanse book talks about that. It will keep you from losing too much weight and keep your energy up.

It books calls for pure organic Grade-B. For the same reason as the lemons, I suggest spending the extra cash and buying the organic stuff. You’re body is worth it, give it the best stuff and don’t put toxins back in.

Grade A vs. B is not as big of a deal in my opinion. Grade B is thicker and is more rich with nutrients but I think they’re pretty close. Grade A is pretty good too and you can experiment or change things up for variety.

First couple of days you may get headaches, feel tired, white stuff on your tongue…

That’s natural because you’re body is adjusting and letting go of different cravings and addictions. If you’re used to having a lot of caffeine this will be especially noticeable.

Plus, as the toxins leave the body, they first have to enter the blood stream and be carried to your colon for elimination. While in the blood stream they may cause flu-like symptoms. Don’t worry, the body is doing it’s job.

Just get comfortable, drink some hot mint tea or make your lemon drink hot if that make you feel good.

Also, you will get a white build-up on your tongue, at least more than usual. The tongue is at the end of the digestive tract and so the toxins that are being dump by your body make their way up. I’ve heard once youre body is TRULY clean the white stuff will subside.

Do your normal routine, but don’t stress yourself…

Your body is taking the extra energy that it would have used for digestion and is using it for cleansing and repairing. But if you do something stressful, the body has to allocate energy towards whatever is stressing you out. The cleansing process may get put on hold.

It would be nice to take it easy and take a vacation, but it’s not necessary. You can still do the normal day-to-day activities, like going to work, etc. Usually you will feel 100% functional. Sometimes you may even get MORE energy than you’re used to. That’s a good sign.

Aerobic exercise, oxygen and sun…

It’s actually GOOD to get some aerobic exercise and go outside for fresh air and sunlight. Do this everyday. The extra oxygen and circulation help flush out the toxins and promote lymph movement.

Lymph is a liquid that goes around your body and picks up bad stuff, kind of like the blood. The only thing, lymph doesn’t have a built-in pump like the heart. Lymph requires physical movement to circulate properly.

The sunlight will help you produce vitamin D and has lots of other beneficial qualities. The beneficial infrared rays in the sun penetrate deep below your skin and energize your tissues, helping detoxification.

Since you’re not eating much protein, it’s a good idea to stay away from weight lifting or anything too strenuous. The body is still able to produce protein on its own so it will continue repair and building tissue. Just don’t overload it.

Our modern food is highly processed, grown in unnatural ways and is genetically modified, carrhing a lot of toxins and poisonous chemicals into our bodies. Our air, water and environment is also full of bad chemicals and toxins.

Our liver and kidneys do the best they can to remove the toxins. If they can’t get rid of them fast enough they will store them until they can get a break. Well that break never comes, unless you start eating healthy (raw, organic, plant-based diet) or do a cleansing fast from time to time.

The digestive system also gets clogged up since it never has a chance to do some house-keeping.

Dirty is the cause of most deceases including cancer. I just hope after the cleanse you will be inspired to start making changes to your regular food habits. But hey, this is a good start.

I’m on day 14 of the Master Cleanse…

I was only planning to go 10 days, but as I made the promise that I’m going until I finish my foreclosure ebook. It’s giving me extra motivation to work faster and more efficiently. Plus a little bit of extra cleansing is a good thing.

And don’t worry, I’m not going to starve to death.

The original Master Cleanser book says people can go 40 days or longer if needed.

I am starting to get hungry more often and think about food much more. That’s a sign that my body is ready to end it.

So I better get back to work (yes working late as usual)

However, tomorrow I have to check out of the hotel room by noon and help Nigel move. I may have to break my the rules about stressing myself too much. I did promise to help Nigel so I don’t want to back out of that. I’ll just have to drink some extra lemonade.

While I’m working hard on my Foreclosure Mistakes ebook, I figure I’ll show you some more sweet photos, if you haven’t seen them already. This includes pictures from last weekend at Snowbird and Reggae club on Monday. I’ve organized them in the right order and removed duplicates.

I just finished day 13 of the Master Cleanse and I promised I will not stop until the ebook is complete.

I’m serious!

Problem is that I’ve been flip-flopping a lot, last couple of days on how exactly I’m going to name / brand / position it. The original draft was way too rough and needed a lot of re-writing and tightening.

I’ve been doing that and writing new content, including a detailed analysis of my own deals and “11 Foreclosure Solutions” to go with the mistakes, which I’ll probably charge for. So many possibilities and so many angles that I get overwhelmed and get stuck with “analysis paralysis”.

Plus, I’m a pretty slow writer.

That’s why writing good posts (or books) takes me a looong time. Remember back in IAFF days people used to wonder what I was doing all day? Well blogging is often a full-time effort for me, especially if I take time to respond in the comments. That’s why lately I haven’t been participating as much. Sorry.

Anyway…

The cleanse has been very beneficial but I want to start transitioning back to solid food already. So, I better get my act together and stop over-thinking stuff!

Plus, this weekend I’m helping Nigel move into his new place. WeWantTheFunk was also talking about checking out a gold mine…

Better go to sleep now and work hard tomorrow to get at least something up on 7ForeclosureMistakes.com for download. That way I can finally start promoting it next week and building a list for the paid product (solutions), which will come out shortly after.

As usual, I’m a night owl and it’s 2:15AM local time. Can’t promise to be an early riser tomorrow but I’ll try.

This week has been nothing but craziness! It’s surreal. Is anybody else thinking we’re living in some “historic” times?

Something big is cooking… here is some linkage:

1. Troops on US Homeland for “Crowd Control” Starting Oct 1st – for the first time ever, never mind that it violates Posse Comitatus Act.
2. Iran warns it could ‘easily’ close oil route – and don’t forget about Russia/Georgia.
3. Nigerian E-mail scam? Nope. It’s the Paulson bailout. Seriously. – It would be funny if this wasn’t so right on. And McCain just abandoned his campaign to go work on this “bailout”.
4. Somewhat an aside, Junior Mining Stocks Crisis – no wonder my favorite junior is down.

I’ve heard people talking about a possibility of third term for Bush. All it would take is a deepening of the financial crisis into a “national emergency” and/or a war with Iran/Russia. Using 9/11 as pretext Bush already gave himself convenient dictatorship powers.

The FEMA concentration camps are ready.

October is going to be interesting!
